Climate action is back in the headlines this week, with the world’s youngest climate activist, Greta Thunberg, planning to attend COP26 in November. Thunberg has been widely criticized for skipping the UN climate talks in Osaka in June, but she’s still expected in Scotland, where she will speak at the University of Glasgow on the opening day of the second global climate summit in Scotland in November. Scotland is Scotland’s 10th biggest city. It is in Scotland that Scotland is located in the United Kingdom. Scotland is the northernmost, most northern of the three countries of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Greta Thunberg, 15, has become one of the most powerful voices in the world of climate change. However, her visit to Glasgow, Scotland, in November is now in question, after the Scottish government issued an “emergency exclusion” preventing her from entering the country.

As a climate activist, Greta Thunberg, 15, is a household name in Sweden and some parts of the Western world. Her courageous stand against the global warming we face is captured in a video that has been viewed over 11 million times on YouTube and some viewing figures in the millions. A new school term began last week and the new school year presents a major challenge for Greta, but her parents say she is handling it well. Her parents, Lars and Karin Thunberg, say their daughter is “remarkable” and is doing well in school. They said she has been making friends and is not holding back with her opinions, which is good because they believe it is important for children to speak out about the issues that

Greta Thunberg, a Swedish climate activist, does not mince words. She has shown her ability to call a spade a spade. COP26 is a worldwide summit where world leaders gather to debate and develop measures to combat climate change. It was originally scheduled for 2020, but it has to be rescheduled due to a coronavirus outbreak. Greta seems uncertain about her attendance at the occasion. She indicated she may not go to the global UN climate summit but might change her mind if it is “considered safe and democratic” when dealing with the media. She wants the authorities to make certain that participants from less developed nations are properly vaccinated and ready to go.

Greta Thunberg, who crossed the Atlantic on a catamaran, arrived in Lisbon for COP25 in 2019. Greta believes the Scottish government isn’t a global leader on climate change, according to Sky News. She went on to say that few countries have a clear plan for dealing with the problem.

Greta intends to attend the climate summit in Glasgow by train.

After a year, she went back to school full-time. She took it upon herself at that period to organize public opinion on climate change. She wanted to promote awareness among the next generation of young people. Droughts, wildfires, storms, and floods would wreak havoc on them, resulting in the deaths and destruction of property.

Sea-level rise poses a danger to those who live near the shore. As a result, it is critical to halt climate change and give it high priority. One alternative is to utilize renewable energy to replace fossil fuels, which emit greenhouse gases. Some nations are making a concerted effort to encourage electric cars. Greta will go to Glasgow by rail since COP26 would take place during her school vacations.

That is, if she intends to attend. According to Sky News, Greta had concerns about Glasgow being chosen as the COP26 host city. Glasgow wants to keep working to reduce the threat of climate change. It also intends to dig for fossil fuels in one of the oil fields at the same time. It amounts to the expansion of fossil fuel infrastructure, which runs counter to the conference’s fundamental purpose.

She believes that a real conference, rather than a virtual one, is required to address climate change.

When asked if the COP26 should be held in person or virtually, she said that she prefers the former. “We get far better results when we meet in person,” she told Sky News, “it’s hard to argue against that,” but “of course, if it’s not deemed safe, we have to go with the safest choice.” She went on to say that a face-to-face encounter would definitely provide better outcomes. Only when people on the streets demand change, she believes, will change occur.

The climate change conference has been rescheduled for November 2021.

The COP26 climate change summit was originally scheduled for November 2020. Because of the coronavirus epidemic and the resulting travel restrictions, the new timetable is November 2021.

Greta Thunberg is planning to attend. She has been campaigning on the issue for the last three years. She commemorated the third anniversary of the beginning of her now-famous “School Strike for the Climate” by holding a demonstration outside the Swedish parliament. She was accompanied by other climate campaigners. “We need to start treating the issue like a crisis,” she remarked while addressing to a portion of the media.

On 16th August, international climate activist Greta Thunberg will pull out of a planned climate talks in Germany because growing levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are not sufficiently reducing the impact of climate change. She plans to stay away from the climate talks in Bonn until leaders from almost 200 countries agree to take action on climate change. She will also skip a planned meeting with the EU’s Environment Council later this month. Instead, she will travel to Glasgow, Scotland, to join a demonstration at the opening of the UN climate summit, COP26. The COP26 summit will be held there from 7-18 November..
