Cobra Hawk Kai doesn’t hold back when it comes to training, and has become one of the most vicious fighters in the series – but unfortunately for actor Jacob Bertrand, he’s not so invulnerable behind the scenes.

For the launch of the third season of Karate Kid on Netflix, Jacob and his colleagues Xolo Maridueña (who plays Miguel) and Mary Mouser (who plays Sam) shared some embarrassing moments where violence was accidentally spilled on the screen.

In the name of fun, Jacob revealed that he was finally literally punched in the face by Xolo when the game went really bad.

He explained it to the Met: The only time I got hit was when we weren’t even doing tricks!

We play this game where you try to scare someone, by faking punches, and if they scare, you have to hit them.

I’m not shying away, that’s actually the moral of the story. Xolo stood in front of me, and he tried to give me that punch, a super-quick counterattack in the face, not on purpose, thinking I’d retreat, which I didn’t.

He just blew my nose! And it wasn’t even an argument or anything. In fact, this is the only time something unpleasant happens. For me at least.

Mary admitted that although she also had bruises during filming, most of them were self-inflicted because she joked that her clumsiness was her biggest mistake and that it had caused painful moments.

I’ve got more than my share of failures, she’s joking. I’m pretty clumsy before I get tricks, and it doesn’t get any easier.

Luckily they keep challenging us to do something new, bigger and crazier. So, of course, my shame is getting bigger and crazier.

Can Miguel learn to walk again? (Photo: Netflix)

I had some injuries and they were all at my disposal. I’m confused. A typographical error and an excessive extension of three fingers once backwards. We had to go to the emergency room, but it was all clear! That’s good.

While the actors are being courted, the play turns into a real war when Krize (Martin Cove) takes control of the Cobra Kai and turns the students into ruthless fighters.

While Johnny (William Zabka) and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) try to figure out how to solve the mess they’ve made, the children get out of hand when they take the law into their own hands.

When Miguel has already recovered from his broken back and went into a coma, he has to figure out how to walk again, let alone fight.

Can opposing dojos put aside their differences before someone gets killed?
