Witnesses claimed the guy who was stabbed to death in south London yesterday night was shooting a music video when he was assaulted.
Shane Jerome, the victim, was regarded as “one of the finest people” by his friends.
At about 8.45 p.m., Mr Jerome, a man in his early twenties, was declared dead at the scene in Brixton High Street near the tube station.
The moment he raced towards an ambulance before fainting on the road was caught on CCTV video from inside a neighboring store.
Before paramedics came and took over, passers-by started doing CPR.
‘Rest in perfect peace to one of the finest people I know,’ one buddy said on Facebook. Was always there, only a phone call away, in my heart forever and ever.’
‘RIP Shane,’ said another lady. I honestly can’t believe what I’m hearing.
‘Life is too brief, and it always happens when you least expect it. Friend, fly high.’
Mr Jerome could not be rescued despite the fact that emergency personnel, including an air ambulance, raced to the site outside Brixton tube station.
More details of the event surfaced today, with one 24-year-old bystander stating, ‘I didn’t witness the stabbing, but I did watch him breathe his final breaths.’
‘I saw him on the ground with a swarm of police officers around him.’
‘People in the area said they were filming a music video, but an altercation erupted out of nowhere, and a man pulled out a machete and slashed this victim several times.’
‘A girl was also cut,’ he said. When the victim’s girlfriend attempted to interfere, they claimed it was the victim’s girlfriend.’
A number of high-end vehicles, including a Lamborghini, a Ferrari, and a black Range Rover, as well as two quad motorcycles, were engaged in the incident, according to one eyewitness.

‘A convoy of vehicles and quad bikes turned on each other, resulting in one guy being stabbed and others engaging in a fist brawl before fleeing on foot and via vehicle,’ they added.
‘At the head of the convoy was a black Range Rover with a balaclava-wearing driver and guys sitting in the boot with the boot door open.
‘The guy who had been stabbed was laying in the middle of the road, with an ambulance arriving quickly and doing CPR to the victim, who seemed to be dead. Another guy with a balaclava and ski goggles rushed to the victim shouting, followed by a lady.’
‘When I got off the Tube, men were chasing each other, a motorcycle in the middle of the street in front of the red Lamborghini, others throwing things at a white girl and a black kid on a quad bike that ended up at traffic signals,’ claimed another eyewitness.
‘(The victim’s) next of kin have been notified,’ the Metropolitan Police said yesterday evening. There has been no formal identification, and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled.’
A guy was detained nearby on charges of inflicting serious bodily harm, according to police.
Specialist Crime Command detectives had been notified.
