The long-awaited Hollywood premiere of Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings took place Monday night at Tinsel Town’s El Capitan Theater, and the film is already receiving rave reviews. While official reviews won’t be available for another week or two, Disney permitted attendees to express their spoiler-free opinions on social media in the hopes of drumming up some excitement for the film.
Even if the film isn’t out for another two weeks, there will be plenty of excitement since the early reviews are largely good.
“Shang-Chi is a movie that ended up on a ‘Wouldn’t It Be Amazing’ list where people thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if we could make this as a movie,’ maybe twenty years ago,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously told Rotten Tomatoes. “It’s a fantastic tale about a young guy who discovers that his father is basically one of the world’s greatest supervillains and crooks. The Legend Of The Ten Rings: Shang-Chi is AMAZING. Get pumped up. Even the battle scene/action sequence is superior than the last one. The Marvel superhero role is completely embraced by @SimuLiu. Amazing visuals. The music is fantastic. This is something you’ll want to see on a large screen. #shangchi

a distinct ambiance
#ShangChi was a huge hit with me! There’s a lot that’s not in the trailers (maybe avoid advertising in the coming weeks, since I’m afraid they’ll reveal more?) It also has its own personality and unique features that set it apart from other origin stories. Simu Liu is also a fantastic hero.
