Los Angeles (CBSLA) – Los Angeles County reported Wednesday that more than 4 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered, while San Bernardino County reported a total of more than 4,000 coronavirus deaths.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health reported 648 new confirmed cases of COPID-19 and 40 additional fatal cases, bringing the county total to 1,219,562 and 23,143 deaths.

Of the new deaths, 16 were over the age of 80, 14 were between the ages of 65 and 79, six were between the ages of 50 and 64, and three were between the ages of 30 and 49. Long Beach reported a fatality.

638 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, 25% of whom were treated in intensive care – a decrease from Tuesday.

The district announced that it had administered more than 4 million doses of the vaccine to Los Angeles County residents, of which 1,323,686 received a second dose. For more information on who is eligible and how to make an appointment, please visit the District’s website.

With test results for more than 6,092,000 people, the district’s overall positivity rate remained steady at 19%, although the daily positive test rate was 1.6%. On Tuesday, the seven-day moving average was 1.5% and the adjusted number of cases was 3.1 new cases per 100,000 population.

ORANGE COUNTRY

The Orange County Health Department has reported 146 new confirmed cases and four additional deaths, bringing the total in the county to 250,683 cases and 4,444 deaths. Of those who contracted the virus, 242,880 recovered.

A total of 141 coronavirus patients were hospitalized, of whom 26 were treated in intensive care, down from Tuesday.

Nearly 455,300 people were fully vaccinated, including 432,787 with Pfizer’s or Moderna’s two-dose vaccine and 22,691 with Johnson & Johnson’s one-dose vaccine. For more information on who is eligible and how to make an appointment, please visit the District’s website.

With test results available for nearly 3,342,600 people, the overall positive rate was 7.5%. On Tuesday, the seven-day moving average was 1.7% and the adjusted number of cases was 2.8 new cases per 100,000 population.

COASTAL CIRCLE

Health officials in Riverside County reported 269 new confirmed cases and 18 additional deaths, bringing the county’s total to 294,461 cases and 4,315 deaths. Of those who contracted the virus, 287,535 recovered.

The hospital admitted 119 coronavirus patients, 30 of whom were treated in intensive care, down from Tuesday.

According to health officials, 1,008,477 doses of vaccine were distributed to residents of the district, of which 592,990 were partially and 325,717 were fully vaccinated. For more information on who is eligible and how to make an appointment, please visit the District’s website.

With test results for nearly 2,711,900 people, the total percentage of positive cases in the province was 10.9%. On Tuesday, the seven-day moving average was 2.3% and the adjusted number of cases was 4.1 new cases per 100,000 population.

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY

San Bernardino County health officials reported 151 new confirmed cases and 11 additional deaths, bringing the total for the county to 290,954 cases and 4,011 deaths. Of those who contracted the virus, 285,794 have recovered.

Since Tuesday, 124 coronavirus patients have been admitted to the hospital, 34 of whom have been treated in intensive care – both with lung bacilli.

According to health officials, 704 986 doses of KOVID-19 vaccine have been administered to residents of the district, of which 204 434 have been partially and 255 097 fully vaccinated. For more information on who is eligible and how to make an appointment, please visit the District’s website.

With test results for more than 2,700,900 people, the total percentage of positive cases in the province was 10.8%. On Tuesday, the seven-day moving average was 2.1% and the adjusted number of cases was 3.8 new cases per 100,000 population.

BOARD OF VENTURA

Ventura County health officials have reported 47 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and another seven fatalities, bringing the county’s total to 79,668 and 981 deaths. Of those who contracted the disease, 78,343 recovered.

Twenty-six coronavirus patients were hospitalized, eight of whom were treated in intensive care, down from Tuesday.

Ventura County reported the administration of 418,989 doses of COVID-19 vaccine: 273,490 first doses and 145,499 second doses. For more information on who is eligible and how to make an appointment, please visit the District’s website.

With test results available for nearly 1,267,400 people, the overall positive rate was 6.3%. On Tuesday, the seven-day moving average was 1.8% and the adjusted number of cases was 3.9 new cases per 100,000 population.
