Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady posted a video compilation on Wednesday on all of his social media accounts of all the negative comments and predictions he received from the media last season. Brady, 43, silenced all his critics by leading the Buccaneers to a 31-9 victory over defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in the LV Super Bowl, his seventh Super Bowl victory. Brady finished the regular season with 4,633 passing yards and 40 touchdowns with 12 steals. Brady started the season with 1,061 yards and ten touchdowns with three interceptions and led the Buccaneers to three big wins over the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers and the Chiefs.
A few days after the win, Brady turned his back on the critics and posted a video compilation on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, via Luke Easterly of USA Today. He accompanied his Twitter post with the legend I love talking radio…@TB12sports. He signed his Instagram position: I kept all the receipts…. Never let them define you. @tb12sports.
Brady’s post received thousands of comments, but none were bigger than the reaction of his wife, Gisele Bundchen, who commented : Never let others define you! Keep up the good work. Brady’s team also commented on the assignment, including backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert, receiver Antonio Brown, Lavonte David and Devin White.
Diana Rusini of ESPN was the first to apologize and comment to Brady: Excuse me, are you all right? According to Chris Roswall of Span.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk refused to apologize for his comments and tweeted: Make it one of the best eulogies of any QB after a Super Bowl won by defense, that is, the outstanding defense of the Buccaneers that didn’t allow a single touchdown from the Chiefs.
However, Florio forgot that Brady threw three touchdown passes – two to the tight end Rob Gronkowski – to give the Buccaneers’ offense the lead against the Chiefs.
Su wants to stay with the Buccaneers.
After winning his first Super Bowl by playing alongside Brady, quarterback Ndamukong Suh said he didn’t want to retire and would be happy to return to the Buccaneers next season.
My goal is to come back and have the opportunity to win another championship, Suh told Albert Breuer of the MMQB, according to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra. Sue said she and Brady discussed her plan to stay with the Buccaneers and presented the idea to executive director Jason Licht.
Suh also revealed that head coach Bruce Arians had told him during the Super Bowl parade that he wasn’t going anywhere. So I look forward to continuing to play, especially for Tampa. And I really believe I have a lot of elite and great talent left to play, Suh said. In addition to Suh, captain Shaquille Barrett, defender Lavonte David, defender Leonard Fournette, receiver Chris Godwin and fullback Rob Gronkowski all become free agents during the offseason.
