Lucasfilm’s upcoming animated series, Star Wars: Bad Batch has received a brand new trailer and key artwork ahead of its premiere in early May. The new Star Wars series comes out from 4. May airs exclusively on Disney+, starting with a 70-minute special premiere, followed by new episodes every Friday starting on the 7th. May. You can watch the official trailer below.

According to the official login, Star Wars: The Bad Party follows the elite and experimental Bad Party clones (who first appear in The Clone Wars) as they make their way through the changing galaxy shortly after the Clone Wars. The members of Bad Batch, a unique team of clones genetically different from their brethren in the clone army, possess extraordinary gifts that make them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable team.

The latest Star Wars animated series is executive produced by Dave Filoni (Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance) and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS), with Carrie Beck (Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels) as co-executive producer and Josh Rhimes as producer (Star Wars Resistance). Rau is also the director and Corbett is the head writer.

Actor Dee Bradley Baker recently spoke about what fans can expect in an interview with Disney’s D23 magazine, specifically praising Rau and Corbett for their work on the series.

It’s a beautifully written show. Rau and Corbett] are very smart and very into Star Wars. According to Baker, it’s everything a fan could want for a better Star Wars experience. It lifts what we found in Clone Wars to another level of depth and wonder. This is real Star Wars in the best sense of the word. …. This is a surprisingly dramatic and entertaining series/story for everyone, whether you know Star Wars or not – but especially if you love Star Wars.

Baker also spoke out: The fan who paid attention to how things ended [in The Clone Wars] can guess where we’re going to start [in The Bad Lot].

This is just one of many Star Wars series that Disney+ is developing after the incredible success of The Mandalorian. Also attached for streamers – Star Wars: Visions, a series of ten short anthology stories by various creators set in the Star Wars universe. Season 3 of The Mandalorian is currently streaming, and the spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett will launch on Disney+ in December. The Obi-Wan Kenobi series also stars Ewan McGregor and the full cast was recently revealed.

Star Wars: The Bad Party takes place on Tuesday, May 4, premieres on Disney+, and new episodes air starting on the 7th. May every Friday on Streaming Weekly. The new trailer for this series comes to us from Star Wars on YouTube.
