The finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Women’s Classic will take place on Revenge Day during TakeOver, but before the finals, another match will decide tonight’s show in NXT. Tonight, Shotsie Blackheart and Amber Moon faced off against Candice LeRay and Indy Hartwell for the right to meet Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai during TakeOver, and with so much cold blood between these two teams, it was as hard as expected.

Blackhart got off to a good start, but LeRae was able to ground her for a while and isolate her from Luna, and Hartwell continued after he was noticed. They continued to take turns preventing Blackhart from making and wearing out the tag, but when they talked trash, Blackhart was able to gain space and make the tag.

Moon cleared LeRae, then Hartwell came into play. After a quick beacon from Blackheart, they came together and took out Hartwell with great teamwork, but it wasn’t enough to get the win.

Blackheart and Luna continued to show their breakthrough offense as Blackheart locked Hartwell in the ropes and Luna dropped her, but LeRay threw Blackheart into the announce table and Hartwell sent Luna under the thumb of LeRay, who sent her out of the ring in Blackheart.

The Way seemed to be in control here, and they did for a while, but eventually Luna did the tag, allowing Blackheart to come in and enjoy the exhausted LeRae, although she was still kicked out of the keel attempt. All four were in the ring at that point, and LeRae and Hartwell came together for a stunning move that left Luna behind, although she too was ejected.

Luna did the tag and Blackheart attacked LeRae, but LeRae stopped his momentum and cleared the way for Hartwell, who hit Blackheart with a Drop Elbow, but Luna broke the pin. It was Hartwell against Blackheart, and Blackheart hit her with a DDT, but LeRae tried to save her partner. But it didn’t work, as she ended up passing out. Hartwell defended LeRae before jumping on Blackheart, but the kick knocked them both out for a minute, and that was what Blackheart needed to get the pin and win.

Blackhart and Luna will now take on Gonzalez and Kai during TakeOver. It was also announced that the winner will have the opportunity to compete for the NXT Women’s Championship.
