The stars pay tribute to music icon SOPHIE after his tragic death at the age of 34.
Her management confirmed that she died after a “sudden accident.” Fans, friends and fellow musicians are heartbroken by this news.

Sam Smith shared the photo on Twitter, writing “Heartbreaking news.
“The world has lost an angel. A true visionary and an icon of our generation. His light will inspire many generations to come. Our thoughts are with Sophie’s family and friends during this difficult time.
Neil Rogers posted a photo of him with Sophie and added, “#RestInPower SOPHIE! You were one of the most innovative, dynamic and warm people I had the pleasure of working with in 2019 @southbankcentre”.

The Grammy nominated artist, also known as Sophie Xen, was known for her hyperkinetic vision of pop music and won legions of fans for her sophisticated, experimental and surreal style that played with texture and genre expression.
The BIPP star is widely acclaimed for her production work with artists such as Madonna and Charlie XCX.

A statement from his team read, “It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that musician and producer SOPHIE passed away this morning around 4 am in Athens, where the artist lived, due to the consequences of a sudden accident. At this time, the respect and privacy of the family is our priority. We also ask for the respect of her fans and treat the private nature of this news with sensitivity.
SOPHIE was the pioneer of a new sound, one of the most influential artists of the last decade. Not only for his brilliant production and creativity, but also for the message and visibility he achieved. An icon of liberation”.
