Bidets are an essential part of many people’s toilet hygiene routine, but they’re not always easy to use. This is where Tushy comes in. Tushy is a bidet that lets you control the temperature and pressure settings with your smartphone or voice assistant.

Tushy is a popular bidet that retails for under $100. We tested the product and found it to be very reliable.

CNN —

Bidets, which are often regarded as a luxury item seen in European bathrooms and high-end hotels, have long been a viable alternative to using an excessive amount of toilet paper in the bathroom. And, fortunately — and ironically — bidets have been given a makeover after our experience with the big toilet paper crisis.

While many bidets cost several hundred dollars or more, some manufacturers now provide bidet adapters for about $100 that can be clipped onto your normal toilet. Tushy, a bidet brand that may have grabbed your attention on Instagram lately with its adorable logo, is one of the most popular and accessible.

I only had five rolls of toilet paper left, and I was stuck at home for the foreseeable future due to a pandemic – what better time to test a bidet than now? I decided to give it a try since devices start at less than $100.

With this basic bidet, you’ll need less toilet paper.

This bidet is a real game changer since it is easy to install, simple to operate, and costs less than $100.

You may regulate the temperature of the water at the Tushy Spa.

If you’re sold on a bidet, try upgrading to the Tushy Spa, which allows you to adjust the water temperature.

This kind of bidet does not need tearing up your bathroom floor or employing a plumber (hopefully). It’s a toilet accessory that attaches to your existing toilet. It slips under your toilet seat and wraps around to the right, where there’s a knob that regulates the water that shoots out of the Tushy’s nozzle, which is adjustable and hangs down below your toilet seat, according to the company.

The knob controls the different settings of the Classic Tushy, which is what I tried. Bum Wash, Nozzle Wash, and Pressure Off are the only three options. Bum Wash is what you use to clean your bum. Nozzle Wash is a setting that cleans the actual nozzle as well as your toilet to keep everything clean. Pressure Off, on the other hand, is, well, off. There’s also a valve on the attachment that enables you to adjust the angle of the nozzle that sprays out the water, so you can experiment to discover what works best for you and your body.

Tushy Spa, on the other hand, has two knobs. The first is identical to the above, but the second enables you to adjust the temperature of the water, allowing you to have beautiful warm or cold water shower at you whenever you choose. Because the water that shoots out is the same temperature as your tap water, this may be particularly useful if you live in a chilly area. That is what we refer to as a spa experience.

It’s essential to note that this version connects to the water in your sink, so if you’re considering about purchasing, consider the size and arrangement of your bathroom.

Though Tushy stresses how simple their gadgets are to install, I have to admit that it was very worrisome for me — particularly today, when the danger of destroying your one and only toilet at home is more frightening than ever. Every step had to be taken with great care to ensure that I wasn’t going to have to contact a plumber, who might either make me ill or become sick themselves.

However, in principle, it was straightforward. To begin, cut off the water to your toilet by twisting the knob on the wall, or, in the worst-case situation (like I had to do), turn off the water to your whole house.

Then you unscrew a three-port adaptor from your toilet bowl and attach it to the flexible line that already runs from your toilet bowl to the wall. (If you have a hard pipe rather than a flexible one, you’ll need to buy one first, which Tushy also offers.) The flexible pipe from your wall is then screwed back into that adaptor, along with Tushy’s own flexible tube that links to the Tushy gadget.

Simply put the attachment on top of your toilet bowl, screw your toilet seat back on top, and turn on your water, and you’re good to go.

Tushy’s instructions were perfectly clear, with explanations and pictures for every step, and I didn’t have to use any tools other than my own (quite mediocre) physical power to unscrew or screw anything off or on.

I can assure you that it can be done as someone who is completely inexperienced with plumbing and had no clue that a line went from the bowl to the wall. It took me around 45 minutes because of my nervousness about the issue, but if you’ve done any kind of toilet repair before and consider yourself handy, it might take much less time.

Simply take it one step at a time, remember to breathe, and follow the instructions to the letter.

One of the best things about this bidet is how simple it is to operate. Water spurts from the Tushy thanks to the tubing connecting your toilet bowl to the gadget. The water is controlled with a kind of “remote” on your right side. So you just sit down, do your thing, and then gently move the knob to the Bum Wash setting and completely wash yourself (the water may shoot out pretty quickly, so try it your first few times to determine what level you’re most comfortable with). You may also use that switch to adjust the nozzle’s direction.

Then, when you’re feeling fresh and clean, turn the knob off and, if desired, dry yourself with a couple sheets of toilet paper. (Antibacterial towels are also available from Tushy for this purpose.) That’s all there is to it.

Prior to this, I had the pleasure of using a bidet once in an Italian hotel room. Do you recall hotel rooms? Do you recall going on a trip? It was a good time.

Other than that one wonderful moment, I had no prior experience, which added to the excitement of the situation.

So, how do you feel about it? It’s very, dare I say, beautiful. Refreshing? Amazing? Is it really a game-changer? I had no clue how much I would like a bidet. It transforms a mundane bathroom visit into a spa-like experience.

Though I was worried about water pressure (how quickly was this water going to shoot out? ), you may proceed at your own pace. After a few days of usage, I noticed that I felt cleaner and that every toilet visit was something to look forward to. To be honest, I never imagined I’d write that phrase.

Even if you’re not concerned about perhaps having to limit your toilet paper use, this bidet seems futuristic. It’s simple to use and install, and it’s something I can see myself using for many years to come. Also, I’m a big fan of the style, which is really minimalist-chic and doesn’t draw your attention right away when you come in.

It also takes away a lot of the worry I used to have over running out of toilet paper, making the expense seem well worth it. If you’re interested in learning more about Tushy and its other services, I’ve included some of its most popular items below.
