The Golden State Warriors are in the process of finalizing a trade which will send guard Stephen Curry to the New Orleans Pelicans. The trade is contingent on Curry passing his physical exam ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline.

The Golden State Warriors are reportedly interested in trading for Houston Rockets guard James Harden before the 2018 NBA draft on Thursday night.

The Warriors are in active trade talks with the Clippers, and would be interested in trading for all-star point guard Chris Paul if the Clippers were to ask, according to a major NBA reporter.. Read more about warriors trade rumors and let us know what you think.

The Golden State Warriors have tipped their hand for the first time since the offseason started.

The Warriors have made it clear that they’d like to trade their two lottery picks for a big gun to join their already formidable Big-3 of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. The NBA draft is just one week away, and the Warriors have made it clear that they’d like to trade those picks for a big gun to join their already staggering Big-3 of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Golden State has its sights set on Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal, who is approaching the last two years of his deal and, based on rumor and reasoning, may be available this season if he isn’t already.

On Wednesday, July 22, Marcus Thompson of The Athletic reported on the Warriors’ interest in the three-time All-Star, citing unidentified sources inside the Golden State organization.

“Some Golden State Warriors are keeping a close eye on Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal’s next move,” Thompson tweeted. “He’s at the top of the offseason wishlist if he becomes available.”

For Warriors veteran players, a heavy hitter like Beal is a top priority.

Thompson made it apparent that the Warriors’ three of franchise players have been open with top management about their objectives since the season concluded in May, stating that they want to utilize the team’s assets to sign another superstar level player.

According to Thompson’s piece, Curry, Thompson, and Green “have made it plain to management that they want the club to concentrate on the chase of a title, even considering utilizing its two lottery choices to acquire someone who can assist immediately.” “The Warriors’ aim this summer, according to general manager Bob Myers, is to add more experienced presence.”

Beal raises the bar even higher. In three of his previous four seasons, he has been chosen to the All-Star Game, and this year he was named to the NBA’s third-team All-NBA squad. Last season, the 28-year-old shooting guard was second in scoring behind Stephen Curry, averaging 31.3 points per game. It was his second straight season in which he scored more than 30 points per game.

Beal, who measures 6-foot-3 and weighs 207 pounds, will be entering his ninth season in the NBA next season.

Beal is also “…considered to be the best player and greatest match for the Warriors among the guys who may possibly be available this offseason,” according to Thompson’s piece.

Golden State is also interested in Portland Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard, despite the fact that he is under contract for many years and has said publicly that he would not seek a trade this season. Members of the Warriors organization, according to Thompson, do not think Lillard would be interested in joining Golden State if he asked to leave Portland.

Is Beal going to be available?

Beal’s degree of interest in Golden State and Washington’s willingness to deal him now are the only remaining questions. Earlier in Beal’s career, when he was teamed with point guard John Wall, the Wizards had a handful of dangerous teams. And, powered by Beal and Russell Westbrook, Washington made a play-in tournament run to the playoffs this season.

Although Beal has said that he would not seek a trade out of Washington, the club may benefit from making a deal sooner rather than later. The Wizards aren’t a championship contender right now, and Westbrook, who depends on his agility, will only see his abilities deteriorate with time.

Beal’s contract has two years remaining on it, for a total of $71.8 million, but the second year is a $37.3 million player option, meaning the Wizards’ leverage to obtain a king’s ransom in exchange for their All-Star shooting guard will be gone by the trade deadline this year.

The Warriors’ No. 7 and No. 14 selections in the 2017 NBA draft may be used as key components in any trade. To tempt Washington even more, they have big man James Wiseman, who is entering the second year of his rookie deal.

Golden State would also likely be willing to part with future draft capital, as the addition of Beal would solidify their place among the NBA’s elite franchises for the next several years. The Warriors owe Andrew Wiggins roughly $30 million per season over the next two years, which could help the money work out.

The agreement makes sense for all parties involved, but the time is ticking, since the draft is scheduled for July 29.

On Wednesday, the Warriors continued to make moves in their drive to put the finishing touches on another title run. They were in talks with New Orleans about trading for All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc Spears. The Warriors and Pelicans had a deal in place, but the trade was ultimately vetoed by a rival team, according to Wojnarowski..
