That won’t happen, Ruskin told CNN’s Jake Tapper on the State of the Union.
The Maryland Democrat announced the death of his 25-year-old son Tommy on New Year’s Eve. The Ruskins said that Tommy Ruskin began suffering from depression in his twenties, which became a kind of incessant brain torment for him.
Ruskin’s comments on Sunday came days after the House decided to indict Trump for the second time, this time accusing the president of inciting a violent mob to storm the U.S. Capitol, an offense Ruskin described as particularly dangerous.

The congressman also said that House Democrats will soon introduce the impeachment section of the Senate, which will eventually lead to the opening of impeachment proceedings against Trump.
I know that (House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) also believes that the president poses a clear and present danger to the republic, Ruskin said.
Mr Raskin, who is one of nine impeachment officers in the House of Representatives, also welcomed his party’s decision to ask the Senate to pass a vote of no confidence in the outgoing president, arguing that Mr Trump should be held accountable for his role in instigating the violent mob in the 6th congressional district. I don’t think anyone can seriously argue that we need to set a precedent where a president has two, three or four weeks to try to start an armed rebellion against the union or stage a coup against the union, and if that succeeds, he becomes a dictator, and if that fails, he doesn’t get indicted or convicted because we just want to put the past behind us, he said.
But under pressure from Tapper about whether the Democratic leader of the indictment would seek witnesses for the next trial, Raskin declined to provide details.
We are working on a lawsuit to get the truth out about all these events, Ruskin said. Of course we can’t tell everyone’s story, but we can tell the story of this attack on America and all the events that preceded it.
Senator from the Democratic Caucus. Dick Durbin told Tapper on the same program on Sunday that his party’s leadership has not promised to hand impeachment papers to the Senate if there is one, but added that we have an obligation to act as quickly as possible.
Chuck Schumer, the future Senate minority leader, said last week that the trial of Trump could begin immediately if a deal is reached with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell – but the Kentucky Republican made it clear that the trial would not begin until after January 19.
